Smartech Custom Ebay RC Cars
Video below from FastRcCars on Youtube: "This is an Ebay Special That I modified. It has all the upgrades you can buy plus a few custom that I created. The chasis is stock but I added ball bearings and cv joints. You will see it rolls very well. I upgraded to a two speed transmission and dropped in a modified Epic .18 engine (2.0 hp @ 40,000 rpm with a 45,000 rpm max). I used a stock 2 speed clutch bell and the stock clutch shoes. (Epic recommends a High performance 3 shoe clutch) I changed the controller to a futaba and put on some HPI wheels. I ported a header That I purchased from rc nitropower, it took some time but was well worth it. I purchased the flywheel and tuned pipe from himoto racing. I have been a mechanic for over 20 years. I have customized cars and rc cars since I was 15.
There are electric and nitro RC cars available on the market today. Electric RC cars is a good start for beginners. Nitro RC cars require more care, maintenance and tuning than electric. Electric cars can be purchased ready to go straight out of the box while nitro requires a little more assembly. Nitro cars, however, are more realistic than electric cars and can go much faster. But because of the gas powered engine, they are way more noiser than electric cars so running them in your neighborhood isn't appreciated. If you have never had a RC car or have little experience, then go with electric. More advanced users will enjoy Nitro as their abilities and experience increase over time.
