Traxxas defined Ready-To-Run (RTR) over 20 years ago as a fully assembled version of a high-quality, hobby-class, R/C kit.

Here is a little summary of the different types of nitro Traxxas RC trucks:
Jato 3.3 is a 1/10 scale 2wd stadium truck.
Slayer is a 1/10 scale pro 4wd short course race truck.
Revo is a 1/10 scale 4wd monster truck.
T-Maxx is a 1/10 scale 4wd monster truck.
S-Maxx is a 1/10 scale 2wd monster truck.
Summit is a electric 1/10 4wd extreme terrain monster truck.

The Traxxas company was started in 1986 and came out with RTR electric RC car concept with the first models, Cat and Fiero in 1987. The first gas RTR Traxxas Truck was realeased in 1992, named the Nitro Hawk.
